BPL launches 'Doctor On Call' Value Added Services(VAS) along with Bangalore-based company Healthcare Magic to provide users live consultations with doctor on ailments ranging from common cold and fever to diabetes,hypertension,besides handling emergency situations.
The callers will be split in three groups-immediate problems like fever,cold and doctors suggest home remedies;Chronic Ailments that require long term planning and lifestyle modifications and In case of emergencies,the patients would be directed to the nearest hospital and provide support till they reach there.
This service will be available to 20 lakh subscribers.The company also clears the doubt that this service is complimentary and cannot be used as a substitute for a doctor.
For the time challenged mumbaikar,instant access to quality medical assistance will be a boon in a long term.
The company also has plans to launch weight management and fitness in the future.

Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem
The new device allows users to access both Sprint's 3G cellular data network and the new 4G WiMax wireless network the company is building as part of the new Clearwire venture.
The modem known as the Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem U300 will use the new 4G Clearwire network with download speeds between 2 Mbps and 4Mbps where that network is available. And when users are out of range of the 4G wireless network, they will automatically be able to access Sprint's 3G network, which offers average downloads of between 600 Kbps and 1.4 Mbps, according to Sprint.
